You should NOT do a boudoir session if…

My boudoir studio is in Elma, NY right outside of Buffalo, NY.

Come get your boudoir session done with me!! Unless….

If you are doing your boudoir session SOULY for someone else.

If the idea of getting a boudoir session done makes you uneasy but you are trying to make your partner happy, it might not be the right move for you. I don’t EVER want you to feel uncomfortable and of course doing this as a gift is awesome, but if you genuinely don’t like the idea, don’t do it.

If you TRULY don’t even want to try to love yourself.

For real, the idea of loving ourselves is great. Some of us honestly do have the desire to love ourselves a little more than others. If you’re one of those people who loves to sit in your misery and negativity, skip the session. Sessions are all about loving YOU for you. I’m going to put you in poses that show YOU off. If you aren’t open to letting me show you how truly gorgeous and amazing you are it’s not going to have the result I’m aiming for.

You hate fun.

I mean honestly, it’s a simple enough explanation. Boudoir sessions are fun, if you’re not into having a good time, skip it.

If you can’t trust the process.

These sessions are weird sometimes, fun, but weird. You’re going to be put into positions that are uncomfortable and you’re going to be asked to do movements that seem silly. ALL I ask is that you trust the process. Trust me to capture your beauty, trust me to show you that you are a fucking goddess.

If you don’t like me.

Joking, except not really. haha If you’re not vibing with me, there’s no way you’re going to get everything you should be getting out of the experience. I won’t be offended, I promise. Go with who you vibe with.

Hey, Hi, It’s me!

Hey! I’m Amanda. I’m a boudoir photographer located right outside Buffalo, Ny in Elma.

I’d like to tell you a little about me!

Boudoir Photographer Amanda Bernhardt in her studio In Elma NY

Well hey there, let me introduce myself.

As most of you know, I’m Amanda. I own Amanda Michele Studios which is a boudoir photography studio in Elma, Ny which is right outside Buffalo, NY.

Being a boudoir photographer has opened the widest door for me to spread so much love and empowerment to women who have learned through life to feel like they don’t deserve it, and I could not be more grateful for that gift to give.

When people come into my studio shaking and tell me that they hate their body and give me a laundry list of everything that is “wrong” with them, I look at them and think “I can not fucking wait to show you how wrong you are about yourself.” Let me assure you, if you tell me that you hate your stomach, I am not going to force you to take 26 images of your stomach just to force you to learn to love it. That’s not realistic. What I AM going to do is take a BEAUTIFUL image of YOU and not avoid your stomach in the process. I’m going to show you how GORGEOUS you are as a whole, with or without your stomach in the image.

The whole concept of loving your body and loving everything about you sounds great in theory right? That truly is my goal, but trust me when I say that I understand.

The whole first half of my life I was 90 pounds soaking wet. After the stress of two horrible long term relationships, life threw in a thyroid problem and boom. I gained a lot of weight very quickly. I know exactly what it feels like to not recognize yourself and struggle in your new body.

Believe me when I say that a boudoir session is more than just self love and empowerment. It’s lighting, angles, posing, facial expressions, hand movements, and at least a basic understanding of a camera. All of that together equals the absolute best, most gorgeous version of YOU. Boudoir photography is not something to be taken lightly, and trust me, your view of yourself is my first priority.

Boudoir photography is all I do. I study it every single day, I’ve invested thousands of dollars, taken workshops and classes, and spend hours upon hours trying to perfect my craft. I know how to pose the human body. I know the slightest movements that will completely change an image. I know all of this and I want to show you that it does not matter if you feel you aren’t photogenic. You’re wrong. It’s not your job to be photogenic, it’s your photographers job to take gorgeous images of you.

With all of that being said, I love you, come see me, trust me, I’ve got you.
